CoGo ("we", "our", "us") operates the CoGo mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, phone number, and profile photo when you sign up.
• Location data: Real-time GPS coordinates during active trips to enable live tracking between drivers and riders. We only collect location when you actively start or join a trip.
• Trip data: Origin, destination, route, timestamps, and fare information for trips you post or book.
• Device information: Device type, OS version, and push notification tokens for delivering trip updates.

How We Use Your Information

• Match riders with drivers on similar routes
• Provide real-time trip tracking and navigation
• Calculate and process fare payments
• Send trip notifications and updates
• Verify driver identity and vehicle information
• Improve app performance and user experience

Location Data

We access your location only during active trips. Drivers share their live location with riders for safety and navigation. Location sharing stops automatically when the trip ends. We do not track your location in the background when you are not on an active trip.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only in these cases:

• Between trip participants: Your name and live location are shared with the other party during an active trip.
• Service providers: We use Google Maps for routing and Supabase for secure data storage.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect safety.

Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled via OTP verification.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Trip history is kept for 12 months for dispute resolution. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

CoGo is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
